Introduction |
Contrary to common beliefs, Chinese Society ( ChiSoc ) is not a society only for Chinese students, it opens for all students who like to indulge themselves in Chinese cultures.

This event is a colloboration between The University of Sheffield Chinese Society and Sheffield Hallam Oriental Society. We have moved our popular Thursday Social to Boudica for the first time where people can either chill and play drinking games downstairs or go upstairs to the VIP dancefloor reserved for just our members.

= Pool Tournament 2009 =
Date: Monday 30th November & Tuesday 1st December 2009
Time: 7pm - 10pm
Venue: The Common Room, Division Street
Price: Members - £2, Non-Members - £3
The Pool Tournament is finally here! It will be spread over two nights so that everyone has a chance to compete.
• First Round:
The initial round will be held on Monday 30th November, your opponent will be chosen at random and the winner will go onto the semi-final.
• Semi-Finals and Final:
This will be held on Tuesday 1st December, the rules of the semi-final are the same as the first round and the two players left at the end will go on to compete in the final.
• Prizes:
1st Prize - CASH PRIZE (Will vary depending on how many people enter)
2nd Prize - 2 free tickets to the next Oriental Party
3rd Prize - A bottle of wine
• How to enter:
Send your name and mobile number to chi.soc@sheffield.ac.uk to confirm your place
OR contact any committee member giving them these details.
You can pay the fee when you come on the evening or in advance to any committee member.
The tournament will be fun for all even if you are not competing, come along to support your friends!
